Kalispera – Let’s Talk About Greece

Many years ago, I was fortunate to live and work in Greece for a short time, and I instantly fell in love with the culture, the people and, of course, the scenery. My love for Greece continues to grow, and there is so much more for me (and you) to explore.

Assos Village, Kefalonia Island
Symi Island, Rhodes

Imagine approximately 13.5 kilometres of stunning coastline, with water so clear you can see the beautiful marine life beneath your feet. Also, with almost 85% of sunshine a year, it should be known as the sunshine capital – so don’t forget your suncream.

Of course, there is more to Greece than stunning views and delicious food – although that plays a huge part for me, there are 18 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It was also the birthplace of the Olympic Games, along with many ancient historical sites that are a must see for anyone who loves to include a bit of history in their trip.

Greece is home to around 12 million people and talking from experience, I can honestly say that they know how to welcome visitors with open arms. Their warmth and hospitality, leaves you feeling part of the family, whether you’re exploring the mainland, hopping between islands, or venturing into the Peloponnese region, you’re sure to find warm smiles and even warmer hospitality.

Santorini, Cyclades Island
Gaios, Paxos

Did you know there are over 6000 islands, of which only 227 are inhabited – that is more than enough to keep you busy day and night, or just sit back, relax, and find your inner peace. Some of the lesser-known islands to explore include Ios, Skopelos, Paxos, Samos to name a few. Why not consider an island-hopping trip to experience the delights each island has to offer.

Whether you are travelling with friends, family or going solo, Greece really does have something for everyone. With so much to offer there is something about this place that keeps drawing you back time and time again. Perhaps it is the Ancient History, the breathtaking beaches, the crystal blue waters or perhaps it is simply the warmth and hospitality of the people waiting to welcome you to their home.

Safe Travels
